Condo and Apartment Renovations in Vancouver
From a single kitchen or bathroom to the whole interior.
Our condo work in Vancouver includes a full renovation of a waterfront high-rise condo in Coal Harbour and the full interior of a second condo, from the kitchen to the bathrooms.
In The Harbourview Residence, the kitchen, dining and living areas were opened into one space, the den became a custom library and an office was added. In The Full-Interior Condo, the kitchen was reconfigured around pull-out pantry systems, concealed appliances and corner storage.
A single kitchen or bathroom is one of our kitchen renovations or bathroom renovations, and a detached house falls under our home renovations in Vancouver.
The Harbourview Residence was designed by Matthew Braun of Coast MDRN, and The Full-Interior Condo by Andrea Jae Studio. If you have a designer, we build to their drawings, so the trades quote off exact specifications. If you do not, we offer design packages and guidance on layout, finishes and fixtures.

Strata Rules and Approvals
In a strata building, the strata's rules shape the schedule. The Harbourview Residence was renovated inside a working high-rise, around strict noise hours, booked elevator time and tight limits on material deliveries. We build your schedule around your own building's rules from the start.
Before work begins, check your strata's bylaws for any approval your renovation needs. If the strata asks for proof of insurance or WorkSafeBC coverage, we carry $5 million in liability coverage and keep a WorkSafeBC account in good standing.
Renovating a Concrete High-Rise Condo
In a concrete high-rise, the plumbing, heating ducts and wiring run through a fixed structure that cannot be cut into freely, so a new layout has to work with where those services can go.
At The Harbourview Residence on the Coal Harbour seawall, the original six-inch heating ducts were replaced with three-inch lines, and the mechanical, electrical and plumbing runs were rerouted through the concrete. That raised the finished ceiling heights throughout the home.
Townhouse Renovations
A townhouse renovation covers the same rooms as a house, from the kitchen and bathrooms to the main floor or the whole home, and is priced and run like our home renovations in Langley. If the townhouse is part of a strata, the strata's rules shape the schedule there too.
If you plan to stay in your townhouse or condo as you get older, the work can include zero-step entries, wider doorways, curbless showers and improved lighting. We are a CHBA Qualified Adaptiv Home Specialist, and these changes are part of our accessible renovations.

How a Condo Renovation Is Priced
The price depends on how much of the home you renovate and whether the plumbing, wiring or heating ducts have to move. We start with a quick call about your home, the scope and your budget, then you get a written proposal. Anything you have not picked yet, such as tile, fixtures or appliances, goes in as an allowance and is adjusted to the real cost once you choose. You can take a fixed price that does not change, or open-book cost-plus at builder-direct pricing, where you see what every trade and material costs.

How much does a condo renovation cost in Vancouver?
The cost of a condo renovation in Vancouver depends on how much of the home you renovate and whether the plumbing, wiring or heating ducts have to be rerouted. ProStyle prices each condo renovation in a written proposal after a first consultation. Anything you have not chosen yet, such as tile, fixtures or appliances, goes in as an allowance, and you choose a fixed price or open-book cost-plus.
How long does a condo renovation take in Vancouver?
A condo renovation in Vancouver takes 6 to 10 weeks for most kitchens, 16 weeks or more for a larger remodel and about 12 months for a full renovation like The Harbourview Residence in Coal Harbour. In a strata building, the noise hours, elevator bookings and delivery limits shape the schedule, and ProStyle sets yours in your proposal before you sign.
Do I need strata approval to renovate my condo?
Whether a condo renovation needs strata approval depends on your strata's bylaws, so check them before work begins. The strata's rules also shape the schedule, through noise hours, booked elevator time and limits on material deliveries. If the strata asks for proof of insurance or WorkSafeBC coverage, ProStyle carries $5 million in liability coverage and keeps a WorkSafeBC account in good standing.
Can you move the plumbing in a concrete high-rise condo?
Plumbing, heating ducts and wiring can be rerouted in a concrete high-rise condo, but they run through a fixed structure that cannot be cut into freely, so a new layout has to work with where those services can go. At The Harbourview Residence in Coal Harbour, ProStyle replaced the original six-inch heating ducts with three-inch lines and rerouted the mechanical, electrical and plumbing runs through the concrete, which raised the finished ceiling heights.
Can I live in my condo during a renovation?
You can often live in your condo during a renovation, and ProStyle tells you before work starts whether your scope allows it. A kitchen on its own is out of use for about 2 to 4 weeks. A full renovation can have stretches when the home is not livable, and the work can often be phased so you always have a room you can use. If the bathroom being renovated is your only one, we plan around it with you in advance.
